How do we fix our biggest mistakes? We fess up and ask for help. The story of Cain and Abel is probably one of the most misunderstood in the Bible, and our failure to understand the nature of Cain’s mistakes has led to many disastrous ideas.

It’s usually told as a contrast between two brothers; Cain bad, Abel good. Their offerings, bad and good. The descendants of Cain are bad, the descendants of his later brother, Seth, are good.
