The typical worker spends 40 hours a week “on the clock”, plus an additional 5-10 hours driving back and forth from work, and another 2-5 hours getting ready before work. After the work day ends, they have to deal with chores like cleaning, cooking and shopping. Weekends can be a time of rest, but it’s usually the time people tackle the bigger tasks around the house.
People pick hobbies that look like work too; whether it’s swinging a golf club, building a model, or hiking with your dog, people don’t really like to relax. Even watching TV involves imagining people doing something, and video games are simulated work!
